Bernard Clem Boczek

Bernard Clem Boczek, 59, of Van Nuys, California, formerly of Du Bois, passed away at 3:30 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2003 at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, CA.
Bernard worked as a mechanic for the airline industry.  He was a US Navy veteran of Viet Nam.  He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois.
He was born April 12, 1944 at DuBois, IL, the son of Walter and Regina (Kruski) Boczek.
He is survived by one son - Anthony Boczek and fiance Ana of Van Nuys, CA, two daughters - Angie Boczek of Laughlin, NV, and Amanda Boczek of Van Nuys, CA, mother - Regina Kruski Boczek of Du Bois, IL, four sisters - Rose Marie Berger and husband George of Ashley, IL, Josephine McCowen and husband Donald Ray of Waltonville, IL, Margaret Kujawa and husband Daniel of Granite City, IL, and Carolyn Niedbalski and husband Ed of Du Bois, IL, one uncle, two aunts, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 19, 2003 at St. Charles Catholic Church at Du Bois with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary was prayed at 7 P.M., Friday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery at DuBois.
Military graveside rites were conducted.
Friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Renovation fund.
